The Laboratory of Prehistoric Technology (USAL) is destined to the study of the development and the transmission of the cognitive and cultural capacities of Anatomically Modern Humans (AMH) throughout the Upper Paleolithic.

Our goal is to study the technical and aesthetic skills associated with the industrial and artistic productions of these times, as well as the learning processes linked to this know-how, using the latest analysis methodologies and the experimental archeology.
