Following the line of experimental archaeology and biomechanics of gesture, we are developing an experimental psychology protocol with the same participants in order to understand the cognitive capacities linked to the creation of artistic motifs and the differences between individuals with previous knowledge of Palaeolithic art and individuals with no previous knowledge.

As an initial protocol, a psychological study was carried out in 2020 consisting of perceptual and drawing tests with the aim of demonstrating that artistic training changes brain processes. In this way, the transformations in brain mechanisms produced by artistic learning can be determined.
